Happy Easter

"Easter teaches us to never lose faith.

Have faith in Him and in yourself! Talk to Him,

He will Listen!"

This time of year is always special to me. It was around this time a shy eleven-year-old girl grabbed her grandma's hand and walked down to the altar and gave her life over to Jesus. Looking back that little girl had no idea what she was doing, but she knew she loved Jesus more than anything. And isn't that what this time of year is about. It's about a Jesus who loves us so much that he gave his whole life for us. Everything about him was for us. His love, his compassion, his honesty, his sacrificial love! He gave it all for us. He took the cross for us!

To me, that is the love story we are all looking for. From the time we were created we have had this search within us looking for a knight and shining armor. Jesus is the ultimate knight! He still fights for us every day. Man, do we take this for granted! We go through our everyday lives doing all the normal stuff and letting life get so busy we forget to take the time to really enjoy Jesus. We forget to take ten minutes to just sit in the presence of Jesus. Praying, worshiping, and listening to his voice should be a part of our everyday life. But if you are like me, the day gets away from me and I forget to take that time. And the crazy part is, he doesn't want an hour. He really just wants anytime you can give him. Whether it's five minutes or twenty. Even if it's while you are doing laundry, talk to him. He knows we are women who love to multi-task because he created us that way. So while you are doing the dishes or laundry this week take the time! Talk to him and then try to listen to his voice. Maybe he is trying to tell you something, but if we don't take the time we won't hear it. I'm so guilty of this.

When we take the time to quiet our minds that is when our energy is revived. The Lord knows we need this rest and time with him. He knows that is how we will find true rest. It's in the peace of relying on him.

Let's take tomorrow and really rest in the trust of Jesus!! He is ALIVE! He did it all for us! I am in awe every Easter! It's my favorite time of year!! Let's celebrate his ultimate love!!!
